Getting to Iona, a show created by one of our own
Getting to Iona is a play created by one of our carers Tom and directed by Graham Butler-Breen.
It is a new play about leaving home for the unknown. What we seek, what we find, and what we leave behind.
Colm is trying to get to lona. John is trying to follow Colm. Tom is just trying to follow the plot. Together they will embark on a voyage of discovery across oceans of time.
This performance is thanks to the generous support of St. Columba’s, Pont St., as well as the many friends, family, and other shipmates who have contributed their time, energy, and understanding to its realisation.
A particular debt of gratitude must be owed to all the people who appear in the tale of the 1963 voyage. Those who went, and those who helped them. This story is their story.
