Carer, home care assistant, chaperone; whatever you want to call us, our carers are real people, with stories, interests, plans and histories.

With us, there’s no stranger syndrome. At Custos Care, we pride ourselves on knowing one another. Our carers regularly meet for meals, advice sharing, and wellness treatments. If one of us were to cover the other, odds are, we’d know each other.

A portrait of Tatevik
  • Carer, Historian, Educator

Tatevik’s background spans history, archaeology, and education, having lived and worked in Armenia before moving into private caregiving. In 2013, she relocated to London to live with her best friend, a 93-year-old cardiologist, whom she cared for over seven years.

She remained by his side as he spent his final three years bedridden, ensuring he was comfortable and supported until his passing at the age of 99.

Following this meaningful experience, Tatevik found her place at Custos Care in 2021, where she continues her work with compassion and dedication - something she describes as a true pleasure.

A portrait of Tom
  • Carer, Performing Artist

Tom is a native North Londoner, and friend, with a keen appreciation for the requirements of senior care. Following his studies in Philosophy and the Theatre, Tom has been working as a performing artist, and now as a carer.

Tom’s interest in professional caring was kindled by witnessing the invaluable difference made by the excellent care given to his late father. He joined us soon after, and once he completed his training, he became a key member of a team providing twenty-four-hour care to a palliative client on Eaton Square where he remained for three months, including a trip to Italy.

Tom is discreet to a T - a fit and healthy fellow who would be ideal providing stimulating conversation and he has plenty of hands-on experience of medication management and of course personal care.

What our clients say

“I cannot recommend
Custos Care enough, they are a game-changer”

J. Hirsch, Hirsch London

"Thank you again for sending me such delightful helpers. In their different ways they have both made a difference to my life. The coincidences of us knowing people, sharing so many cultural and intellectual interests, as well as the emotional experiences of life, has been extraordinary."

Wendy S-H

"I think having a Custos carer has really enhanced my father’s life with his regular Saturday morning trips to the market and really enjoys his carers company. Its also it's a big peace of mind knowing there is someone there in an emergency."

Sof

“In my mother’s last week, our carer was a huge solace to us all, caring, and vigilant; he always lightened the mood, and found solutions to the various stresses and difficulties. The whole episode went as smoothly, and as lovingly, as I believe was possible. My mother could not have wished for a more compassionate end."

Meet Lord Kenneth Baker

Kenneth and his family were concerned that their weekly shop was a lot to be carrying back home safely by himself. Our founder Will has since become Kenneth's 'personal squire', and has visited him each Saturday to attend the market.

Meet Barbara

Barbara realised she needed a little extra help carrying her shopping. More than just practical support, she was looking for carers who could offer meaningful conversation, companionship, and shared experiences.
